The School Day

Bedmond Buddies Breakfast Club

We are pleased to offer a breakfast club for children in Reception to Year 6 from 8 am. Our club is led by Ms. Dawe who is known to all the children across school.

If you would like to reserve a place for your child at our breakfast club, please contact the school office, complete a booking form & pass to the office with payment.

School opening times

The school gates are opened at 8:40 am. Parents must wait with their children until the classroom doors open at 8:50am. Classroom doors will close at 8:55am followed by the main gate. If you arrive after this time you must take your child to the school office.

Each Friday, two classes welcome parents/carers into their classrooms at 8.50am to allow the children to share their work. Please see calendar for more details.

Break Time

The children have a break from 10:45-11am. The children in Key Stage 2 are encouraged to bring a snack from home (fruit and water only). Children in Key Stage 1 are provided with milk (if parents have requested it) and fruit. If you would like your child to have milk provided find more information here.

Lunch Time

Lunch time begins at 12 pm, the children have one hour to have lunch and go outside. School meals are offered to all of our children from Reception upwards by Babs and Tracy, our wonderful staff from Hertfordshire Catering, and are freshly cooked on site daily.

Our children are offered a choice of meals each day; pupils make their selection each morning from the the Pupil Choice Menu. Menus are rotated on a three-weekly basis and offer a hot meat or fish, a hot vegetarian, a jacket potato or a sandwich option. Vegetables and salad are always available too.

Children in KS1 & 2 take part in assemblies in the afternoon on Monday to Thursdays.

On Fridays we have our Sharing Assembly at 2.55pm when certificates of achievement are given out.  See the diary dates on our calendar for more information.
