Our School

Our school is situated in an attractive, rural setting, a short distance from Abbots Langley, Kings Langley and Leverstock Green.

Our catchment area has grown and now incorporates all the above villages, Hemel Hempstead, Nashmills as well as Bedmond. We have 143 pupils on roll and the classes include, Foundation Stage (Reception and morning Nursery), and years 1-6. We are fortunate in having a superb site, with a large playing field and 2 playgrounds as well as an attractive Nature Reserve, which lends itself to many parts of the curriculum such as Science, Art and Geography. We are proud to call ourselves a Forest School! Some aspects of the children's work will be completed outdoors with our qualified Forest Schools leader.

As well as a large school field and plenty of equipment to play and learn with we also have a fabulous Nature Reserve with the space to explore and be creative outdoors!
Because we are such a small school some of the class sizes are reduced in number and everyone knows each other very well. We have Buddy Groups which means older pupils are responsible for their younger peers and we have 'circle time' sessions. These sessions help to build up the confidence and self-esteem of all the children; iron out any concerns or bullying issues, celebrate good work and enjoyment of reading together.
There are three houses: Chess, Gade and Colne. House points are awarded for good behaviour, sporting and music achievements as well as excellent academic work.
